Kyle Marman tossed yet another gem and, unlike in Friday’s series opener, FAU supported him with plenty of offense in a 5-0 victory over Oregon.

Marman struck out 11 over seven innings, scattering eight hits, to improve to 3-0 on the season. In 19 1/3 inning s this season Marman has allowed only one earned run. He’s struck out 32 batters while walking only only 1.

He received all the offense he’d need in the fourth inning, when FAU followed two one-out walks with singles by Cody Wilson and Joe Montes, a double by Andru Summerall and a single by Kevin Abraham, all in succession, to score four runs.

Tyler Frank added a solo home run in the eighth inning, his first blast of the season, to complete the scoring.

The victory was the first on the road for the Owls this season.
