Conference USA Game Preview

With the first round of the Conference USA tournament, the Owls will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers tonight at 8:30 p.m.
FAU finished their excellent regular season with a record of 31-24, and the Hilltoppers counter with an even better record of 33-23.
Florida Atlantic will send Starter C.J. Williams to the mound. Williams has had a phenomonal season, throwing 54.1 innings to a 3.31 ERA, striking out 50 and walking 30. He looks to bounce back from his last start, where he gave up 4 runs in 3.2 innings.
Opposing him is righty Dawson Hall, who has also put up a stellar year for the Hilltoppers. He has thrown 61.1 innings, striking out 44 to an ERA of 3.08. Like Williams, Hall has also struggled as of late, only pitching two innings in his last start, allowing three.
On the offensive side for the Owls, they are led by Nolan Schanuel, who was just named the Conference USA player of the year on Tuesday, the third time in program history that an Owl has won the award. Supporting him are Dylan Goldstein and Jackson Ross, who are both red-hot coming into the game, and supplement a very strong Owls lineup.
The game can be watched on ESPN+ tonight at 8:30, and the Owls look to continue their amazing season with a tournament victory.
