BOCA RATON – Being played one day later than expected didn’t keep the game between Charlotte and FAU from producing some vivid memories.
OwlAccess.com photographers Karla DeVivo and Chuck King captured many of those moments, including the game’s deciding play.
DeVivo was right there when Kamrin Solomon soared above two Charlotte defenders to snatch a Hail Mary pass from Jason Driskel. Her next frame appears to show Solomon getting a foot down in bounds.
Officials originally ruled the play to be a touchdown, but the replay booth reversed the call, giving Charlotte a 28-23 victory.
The loss dropped FAU to 1-5 on the season after starting the season with a win.
