BOCA RATON — FAU’s offense barely had time to get comfortable before its teammates built a three-touchdown cushion.
Leonard Farrow returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, and Wilky Denaud added a defensive score as the Owls overwhelmed Texas Southern 66–10 at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.
The 56-point victory margin was the largest in program history. FAU improved to 4–1 with its fourth consecutive win and finished its nonconference schedule at 3–1.
Farrow returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. After Texas Southern answered with a field goal, he took the next kickoff 92 yards for another score, tying the FBS single-game record with two kickoff-return touchdowns.
Joseph Sipp Jr. then forced a fumble on a sack, and Denaud returned the loose ball 31 yards to extend the lead to 21–3. Wallace Foster IV’s interception ended another Texas Southern possession before the Owls’ offense finally took the field.
Caden Veltkamp kept the scoring surge going. He completed 13 of 16 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Easton Messer caught the first scoring pass, while Kelby Valsin hauled in three second-quarter touchdowns.
Valsin finished with seven catches for 126 yards. FAU led 49–10 at halftime, setting a program record for first-half points.
Brady Tillman III and Almari Brown added rushing touchdowns after the break, while the defense kept Texas Southern scoreless in the second half.
In front of 23,736 fans, FAU scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams in the same game for the first time in program history. The Owls also extended their streak without an offensive turnover to four games, carrying momentum into the bye week before returning to conference play at Army.
