Florida Atlantic scored four runs in the first and four pitchers made that stand-up in a 4-2 series-opening victory over Seton Hall at FAU baseball stadium.

The victory snaps a brief two-game losing streak for the Owls, losses that came at Oregon.

FAU opened the game with four consecutive hits. Tyler Frank led off the bottom of the first with a double. Joe Montes drove him home with a single.

David Miranda followed with a double that put runners on second and third. Pedro Pages drove in Montes and Miranda with a single to left center. Pages would later score on Eric Rivera’s sacrifice fly.

FAU starter Jake Miednik scattered six hits through five innings, allowing only one unearned run while striking out eight to earn the win.
