- Thanks for joining us on this Saturday evening for FAU’s final home game in 2016. Senior day festivities about to get underway.
- FAU is (finally) decked out in their navy unis. Going all blue tonight. Let’s hope the mood after 60 minutes is far from blue.
- FAU’s Senior day is underway. I think we can all expect a huge ovation for Trey Hendrickson, who most likely will be announced last.
- ODU wins toss and defers. Kerrith Whyte takes it to FAU’s 43, Driskel under center, and we are underway.
- Driskel’s got Woods after some nice rushes by Buddy Howell. FAU already driving and looking solid in the process.
- FAU touchdown! BUDDY HOWELL RUNS IT IN ON A FOURTH AND ONE and Howell sets a new FAU single season record with 12 scores. 7-0 FAU. @NFL_CFB
- FAU’s defense is bending…but not breaking. Yet. FAU holds ODU to a field goal. 7-3 FAU with 6:58 left in the first quarter.
- #DriskelsGotWoods and then Motor takes it to ODU’s 2 yard line. Next play, Motor takes it in for an FAU TD. This is too easy.
- Devin Singletary: Maybe I should take it easy on Old Dominion.
Inner Devin: Run them into the damn ground.
#FAU - Where has this FAU been? Owls go to the second quarter with a 14-3 lead, though Old Dominion IS driving. Just converted key fourth and one.
- Welcome back, tackling problems, FAU allows a 23 yard touchdown pass and with 13:44 left in the first half, the Owls will start at their 27.
- Daniel Parr’s in for FAU. Parr’s been ineffective the past few weeks in limited chances so we’ll see how this one goes.
- Haiden Nagel with a sack. Remember when the beautiful Karla Devivo did a piece on him? https://fauowlaccess.com/2016/10/28/fau-video-down-with-devivo/ FAU then blocks a punt.
- How good is Motor Singletary? Just keep playing that fight song, boys. FAU takes a 21-10 lead over ODU. #UpsetAlert
- Buddy Howell set an FAU record this season with 12 rushing touchdowns so far. Just under 7 quarters left barring OT and Motor has 9..
- Remember when FAU’s defense had problems stopping nosebleeds? They just held ODU to three points. FAU still leads 21-13
- THERE’S A SENIOR! TYLER CAMERON WITH A HUGE CATCH. 39 yard gain for FAU. Buddy takes it about five yards next play.
- Greg Joseph missed a kick. That..rarely happens. ODU has a minute left from their on 20 to score.
- FAU picks a ball off but it’s on an offsides. ODU attempts a kick but it hits off the goal post. FAU goes into half up 21-13.
- We’re back. Class of 1966 is currently being honored during a game break. Let’s send them home tonight with a win.
- ODU scores a touchdown to make it 21-19 FAU. Monarchs go for two and tie it at 21 as Washington keeps it.
- ODU is driving…FAU needs to get this figured out otherwise this is going to be a long final 21+ minutes.
- WOAH. WOAHHHHH. Zach Pascal with a play you are going to see on SportsCenter tonight. ODU takes a 28-21 lead over FAU…
- #DriskelsGotWoods and now FAU at ODU’s 15. Are we looking at a shootout finish? FAU does kick a field goal so it’s 28-24 ODU.
- FAU’s defense is absolutely breaking between injuries and penalties. Now Jalen Young is down for the Owls…
- Howard Schnellenberger Field rightly laying down the boos after another penalty. ODU jumps out to a 35-24 lead over FAU.
- 84 yard TD for ODU – longest offensive play for ODU since program joined FBS level. Hey, remember when FAU was winning? ODU takes 42-24 lead
- FAU turns it over on downs. Stands are starting to clear out and with just under 11 minutes left, this may be too late for the Owls.
- FAU turns it over on downs with 4:25 left. It’s a rough, rough finish to what’s just been a horrendous second half.
- That’s all from Boca as FAU loses 42-24. We’ll have some post game stuff on the way soon.
