BOCA RATON – FAU football is above .500 this late in the season for the first time since 2007. It;s a good time to be an Owl fan.

On Saturday FAU handed out the most dominant victory in program history, destroying North Texas 69-31. For the second consecutive week the Owls set a record for points scored in a game, and they’ve now won three consecutive games.

Can the Owls keep this up? That’s one of the questions ESPN West Palm’s Brian Rowitz and our Chuck King address in this week’s OwlTalk – the first and still finest podcast covering FAU football.

The Owls sit atop the East Division of Conference USA, tied with Marshall at 3-0 in conference play. To stay there, FAU has to defeat reigning conference champ Western Kentucky on the road in winter weather on Saturday. What will it take for the Owls’ first ever 4-0 start in conference play? We cover that question too.

FAU only needs to win two of its final five games to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2013. Should the Owls receive a berth it will be the first time they’ll play in the post season since 2008.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Enjoy the way the Owls are currently playing. One way to do so is by listening to OwlTalk, where you’ll get a quick review of the blowout of North Texas, followed be a preview of Western Kentucky.
