BOCA RATON, Fla. — Devin Singletary’s place in Florida Atlantic football history was already secure. Now, the former Owls running back has earned one of the top honors in Conference USA history.
Singletary has been selected to the Conference USA Hall of Fame Class of 2026, the league announced Wednesday. With the honor, he becomes the first Florida Atlantic student-athlete to be inducted into the CUSA Hall of Fame.
Former Florida Atlantic head softball coach Joan Joyce was inducted in 2022.
Singletary, who played at FAU from 2016 through 2018, authored one of the greatest careers ever by an Owl and one of the most productive runs by a running back in Conference USA history. In just three seasons, he became the most decorated offensive player in program history and helped lead Florida Atlantic to the 2017 Conference USA championship.
His 2017 season remains one of the best individual campaigns in FAU history. Singletary became the first Florida Atlantic player to earn AP All-American recognition, was named Conference USA MVP and finished the season with 33 total touchdowns, the third-most in a single season in NCAA history. He also totaled 2,118 all-purpose yards during the Owls’ championship run.
By the time his college career ended, Singletary had rushed for 4,280 yards and 66 touchdowns, both program records. His 67 total touchdowns remain the most by any player in Conference USA history.
Nationally, Singletary’s 66 career rushing touchdowns rank seventh all-time in college football history. No running back who played only three college seasons has ever scored more rushing touchdowns.
After leaving FAU, Singletary was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. His professional career has included time with the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans and New York Giants. Across seven NFL seasons, he has totaled 4,923 rushing yards and 33 total touchdowns.
