BOCA RATON – It’s a good time to be an FAU football fan.
Florida Atlantic defeated Marshall 30-25 on Friday to gain bowl eligibility for the first time since 2013 and improve to 5-0 in Conference USA play.
The Owls are breaking records seemingly on a weekly basis. FAU’s victory over Marshall was the first in program history, allowing the Owls to continue to control their own destiny in C-USA play.
Now the Owls take their five-game winning streak to Louisiana Tech, a team that’s playing better than their 4-5 record might indicate.
What does FAU have to do to keep the winning streak moving forward? With the Shula Bowl two weekends from now, could this be a trap game for Lane Kiffin and the Owls? And why is the secondary having so much success?
On this week’s OwlTalk host Brian Rowitz of ESPN West Palm and our Chuck King discuss those questions and more, providing insight that can’t be found anywhere else.
And with basketball season tipping off on Friday, we even take a moment to examine what the Owls’ hoop team can accomplish this year.
Take 10 minutes to get your Owl on. Enjoy OwlTalk, the first and still finest FAU football podcast.
