- FAU starts 9th different O-line combo in nine games. Weiner at RT. Smith at RG. Left side remains the same.
- Parr throws 1 incomplete pass. FAU goes three and out. Owl Bowl is scoreless early in the 1st quarter.
- FAU DE Trey Hendrickson with a sack on the first play. Blew past the left tackle. Looking for a big day out of him.
- Rice goes for it on 4th and 1 from the 34, picks up big gain on option pitch. FAU S Andrew Soroh hurt on the play.
- Rice on the board first. Marched right down the field, scoring on a TD pass. It’s early, but FAU is already trailing 7-0.
- Rice TD Pass: Stehling to Granson covering 13 yards.
- Parr picks up a first down with his legs, but four plays later FAU once again punts. FAU trails Rice 7-0.
- Trey Hendrickson is a menace early. Bats down a pass, then gets his second sack of the first qtr to force a punt. Rice leads Owl Bowl 7-0.
- In previous weeks Driskel got the first two series, then Parr came in for the third. It’s flip-flopped this week. Driskel now in at QB.
- FAU wide receiver James Brunson in the game early. He can be elusive with the ball. Something to watch.
- Driskel connects on two long passes. Pico Harrison hauls one it at 1. Motor takes it the final yard. FAU and Rice tied at 7, mid 1.
- Driskel connected on a 32 yd pass to Bussey. The Pico play covered 41 yards.
- This time it’s Al-Shaair on the sack – FAU’s third of the game. FAU has the ball back in a 7-7 game. Driskel remains QB.
- Driskel going deep again. True freshman John Mitchell gets behind Rice D for 1st career TD. Covers 33 yds. FAU leads 14-7 late 1st.
- Driskel is 5-of-5 for 123 yards and a TD. Looks like a completely different QB.
- End of the 1st Q. FAU leads 14-7. Rice will be punting when game resumes.
- FAU sticking with Driskel’s hot hand for 1st possession of the 2nd qtr. Motor getting the carries for FAU.
- Hendrickson in the backfield again. Hold not called, but Josh Kendall gets the sack. Jalen Young punt return gives FAU ball in Rice territory.
- FAU gets into the red zone. Greg Jospeh misses from 32 yards – first FG miss of the year for him. FAU still leads Rice 14-7.
- FAU already flagged for 6 penalties. False start stymied that last drive.
- Jalen Young injured while making tackle. Walks off the field. FAU now without both starting safeties.
- Rice ties the game on a 7-yard run by Ellerbe. FAU and Rice now tied with about 5 minutes remaining.
- Well, Greg Joseph is getting all his misses out of the way early. His 52-yard attempt bounds off the cross bar. FAU and Rice still tied at 14
- Jalen Young back on the field. Al-Shaair gets his second sack of the game. FAU will have a chance at a 2-minute drill, tied with Rice at 14.

- First mulit-TD game in Singletary’s career. He now has 116 yards in the first half. Driskel is 11-for-16 for 169 yards and a TD.
- FAU defense turns big play their way. Jake Stoshak forces fumble after 36-yd pass. Ocie Rose recovers. More points before half? FAU 21-14.
- FAU can’t take advantage of late turnover. It’s halftime in Houston. FAU leads Rice 21-14.
- FAU has 330 yards of total offense at the half to Rice’s 189. FAU has five sacks in the first half.
- Second half is underway. FAU leads Rice 21-14, but Florida Atlantic has not been any good in the 2nd half this season.
- Azeez Al-Shaair shaken up but trots off the field. FAU already without MLB Nate Ozdemir.

- Douglas back in the game. Another nice play by Kittles to break up a pass. FAU gets the ball back up 28-17 over Rice, early 4Q’
- HOP ON THE BUSSEY! Driskel connects with Henry Bussey for 84-yard TD. Finally a big play from Bussey. FAU leads 35-17 4Q.
- Henry Bussey now has 132 receiving yards in the game. Entered with 106 on the season for FAU.
- With FAU up 35-17 in the fourth quarter, look for another big play or two from Trey Hendrickson.
- Al-Shaair once again needs to be helped off the field following a tackle.
- Nothing comes easy for FAU. Rice marches down the field, scores on 1-yard run. FAU leads 35-24, more than 11 min. left.
- Rice goes for 2 and converts. FAU leads 35-25. FAU has history of late collapses against Rice. (Did we say that out loud?)
- MOTOR CAN’T BE STOPPED. A 66-yard TD for the true freshman. He’s over 200 yards. 3 TDs. FAU up 42-25.
- Singletary looked like he was stopped in the backfield, then bounced it outside and sprinted to the end zone. Big time play for FAU.
- Now Stephen Leggett is down, but Al-Shaair is back. Rice is moving right back down the field. FAU and Rice is not over yet, folks.
- Ocie! Ocie! Ocie! That’s the Rose FAU has been waiting for. Ocie Rose picks off a pass at the goal line. Breathe a little easier FAU fans.
- Lots of FAU players having great days. Kicker Greg Joseph is not one of them. He misses his 3rd FG of the game. FAU 42, Rice 25. 4:12 left.
- Now it’s Raekwon Williams who leaves because of an injury. Trainers appear to be working on his ankle.
- MLB Jacob Douglas ejected for targeting. He started in place of Ozdemir. Douglas will be suspended for 1st half vs UTEP.
- How about Richie Kittles! FAU safety picks off a wounded duck of a pass. Dare we say FAU is going to win this one?
- It’s over. FAU fans rejoice. FAU’s 7-game losing streak is history. FAU defeats Rice 42-25.
Owls win. Decent game finally. Finally threw the ball down the field. My only complaint is what happened to Parr? I didn’t see him do anything wrong and I was excited to see him finally get a chance. He must of got injured in his second drive, which is unfortunate.
