FAU football coach Charlie Partridge says losses like the one the Owls suffered to FIU in Saturday’s Shula Bowl hurt everyone – players, coaches and fans.
Partridge discusses what went right and what went wrong in that 33-31 loss, provides insight into what opponents are doing to halt defensive end Trey Hendrickson and says the players are still buying into what the coaches are preaching.
As part of his weekly Monday meeting with the media, Partridge also gives an early scouting report on Charlotte, a team that employs three different quarterbacks.
The 1-4 49ers travel to Boca Raton this week to face the 1-4 Owls. FAU will be looking to even its Conference USA record at 1-1. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.. but that could change depending on the path taken by Hurricane Matthew.
The above FAU video shows Partridge’s entire Monday press conference.
