Boca Raton, FL- The Florida Atlantic Owls drop their home opener to Army 24-7 behind an terrific rushing performance to the tune of 405 yards on the ground by the Black Knights. FAU was only able to muster 235 yards of total offense and only one touchdown. The Owls got of to a very slow start going three-and-out on offense the first three drives of the game. Army used that offensive ineffectiveness to build a 14-point lead on the ground. The Black Knights had over 100 yards rushing in the first quarter.Defensively the Owls had to figure some things out early.
