- Let’s get it going from Boca. First play is a Jason Driskel incompletion to Kam Solomon. Howell then takes it five yards.
- Defense wins round one with a three-and-out. First play with De’Andre Johnson is a 22 yard rush by Marcus Clark.
- Jalen Young not in pads, but offense still struggling to get things going. Kalib Woods with drop on a screen pass. Motor spins for 1st down.
- There’s your first TD. Motor spins and jukes and does his magic on that drive for FAU’s first touchdown. Defense still leads 8-7.
- Buddy breaks some tackles and spins to go about one yard, but Kalib Woods with a catch. FAU’s offense adds their third false start.
- Steven Frank is now at QB in a 14-7 game. Frank with a big completion to Brandon Robinson, but play is wiped out for illegal formation.
- As we have a timeout, FAU’s defense leads 17-7. Driskel under center and will try to get something going on offense.
- Driskel finds Woods on a 36 yard gain. Driskel then hits Henry Bussey on a great catch. 2:20 left in first 1, D leads O 20-14.
- Try #1 on De’Andre Johnson fails. Try #2 begins with him hitting Kam Solomon for a big gain. D leads O 25-14 through 1.
- And then Jacob Douglas ends that try with an INT of Johnson. Nice read by the junior linebacker. Steven Frank in.
- Another penalty on the o line, this one on Matt Murphy. Steven Frank then gets ‘sacked’ – as much as you can get sacked invisibly.
- Late hit by Jake Stoshak, so now the defense gets a penalty. It’ll be interesting to get Kiffin’s thoughts on penalties today.
- There’s an offensive pass interference call on John Mitchell. Anthony Bennett gets a sack, but Bain gets penalty for holding on offense
- #FAU defense leads 38-17. Driskel in at QB. At least that last play didn’t have a penalty. #FAUSpringGame
- The press box erupts in “oooohs” after a nice catch by Brandon Robinson. “GET HIS ASS” then erupts from a nearby coaching room. #funtimes
- We go into halftime as FAU’s defense leads the offense 41-20 after Frank leads offense to a field goal. See y’all in a bit.
- We’re back from the #FAUSpringGame. Driskel will lead at QB and finds Brandon Robinson again.
- Brandon Robinson is starring today. Another big catch for the junior. Defense leads 47-20 after a Roland Collins (walk-on) INT.
- Driskel finds Kam Solomon wide open, but it’s ruled a sack. Defense still up 47-20 as Driskel gets a nice gain with his legs.
- Driskel finds Kam Solomon for a touchdown to end the 3rd quarter. Both enjoying big spring games. #FAUSpringGame
- De’Andre’s legs are going to make opposing defenses beg. Huge gain on the ground for JUCO transfer. Johnson leading a long drive right now.
- Running clock in effect as FAU’s defense leads 52-27 with just under 6 minutes left. Brandon Robinson with ANOTHER long gain.
- Josh Kendall with a sack and a QB dance after. Next play is a Korel Smith INT off Driskel. 3:13 left as defense leads offense 56-27.
- Dominic Milanese makes a nice catch with about a minute and a half left. We’re in the final minute here from Boca..
- Driskel finds Bussey for what would have been Driskel’s fourth touchdown, but call brought back. A timeout is called with 2 seconds left.
- Bussey scores with no time left! FAU’s offense still falls 62-33. That’s all from Boca and FAU’s spring game. #LaneTrain
