For only the second time this season FAU football is coming off a victory. The Owls downed Rice 42-25 on Saturday to improve to 2-7 on the season.
For the first time in weeks, FAU saw an offense click and a defense protect a lead.
In this week’s OwlTalk, host Brian Rowitz of ESPN West Palm and our Chuck King discuss some of the more intriguing aspects of that victory, beginning with the quarterback battle the Owls’ now find themselves navigating through.
There was also the record-breaking game from running back Devin Singletary, and even more of a youth movement from FAU’s defense.

As for the football Owls, FAU returns home on Saturday to face UTEP. The Owls are looking for their first winning streak since Brian Wright was the interim head coach.
