BOCA RATON – FAU nabbed its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Bethune-Cookman 45-0.
The Owls played their most complete game of the season in the blowout and now move on to Buffalo for their final non-conference game of the year.
Against the Wildcats the Owls returned to the run game with great success, setting a program record with 439 yards on the ground. Buddy Howell led the way with 175 yards on 13 carries. Devin Singletary also broke the 100-yard barrier.
Will the Owls see that kind of output against Buffalo? That’s one of the topics covered in this week’s OwlTalk FAU football podcast.
Host Brian Rowitz of ESPN West Palm and our Chuck King also delve into the FAU passing game and what it needs to get rolling, whether the defense can produce a repeat performance against the Bulls and what a win over Buffalo would mean for the Owls moving forward.
So settle in for the first and still finest FAU football podcast. Talking FAU football – it might be the best 10 minutes of your day.
