BOCA RATON – FAU moved within one win of bowl eligibility with its 34-15 victory over Western Kentucky on Saturday but didn’t have much time to savor the victory.

The Owls need to win one of their final two games to reach that six-win mark, the first opportunity coming on Thursday at North Texas.

The Owls will be battling a short week, a late kickoff, expected cold weather and a trip to a different time zone this week for a battle against a North Texas team that, earlier in the season, appeared to be the class Conference USA’s West division.

How will coach Lane Kiffin and the Owls respond? Will FAU become bowl eligible this week? Those are two of the questions answered this week on OwlTalk with Brian Rowitz. With the Owls having won consecutive games for only the second time this season, Rowitz, of ESPN West Palm fame, our Chuck King and special guest Wajih AlBaroudi, also from OwlAccess.com, break down what FAU needs to do to be successful in Denton, Texas.

The trio also dives once again into the current quarterback battle, one that this week is framed by the homecoming of Texas-raised Chris Robison. AlBaroudi breaks down the Owls’ offensive line play and FAU’s recently improved secondary play. And everyone chimes in with their thoughts on the short week of preparation.

So take a a few minutes to prepare for Thursday’s FAU vs North Texas game by listening to OwlTalk, the first and still finest FAU football podcast. It will make you a better fan.
