Once again, QB Daniel Parr comes in for the Owls’ third possession. Can he give FAU a boost?

On the drive Parr was 2-of-3 for 24 yards. He was sacked once and ran for a first down. Also underthrew K. Woods on deep pass.

We’re done with the first quarter. FAU leads Marshall 14-10.

FAU stops Marshall on downs. Driskel back in the game. Both Howell and Singletary already have more than 50 rushing yards for FAU.

Buddy Howell makes the first big mistake for the Owls, fumbling near the red zone. Marshall takes over. FAU 14, Marshall 10. 2Q.

Marshall doesn’t take long to take advantage of turnover. Josh Knight gets behind Andrew Soroh for 65-yd TD catch. Mar 16, FAU 14.

Parfitt back in the game for FAU. He’s playing right guard. Bryan Beck at right tackle.

Trey Hendrickson flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. Makes up for it by forcing poor throw. Jalen Young with goal line pick for FAU.

Kalib Woods drops potential TD. Next play Driskel picked on screen pass. FAU heads to the locker room leading Marshall 21-16.

FAU has 309 total yards at the half, 182 of them have come on the ground. Marshall has 255 total yards.

Marshall draws first blood in the second half. A 39-yard field goal cuts the FAU lead to 21-19, late 3Q.

Third quarter is complete. FAU leads Marshall 21-19.

FAU forces punt. Marshall pins Owls inside the 5. Less than 12 minutes remaining. FAU 21, Marshall 19.

Buddy Howell already has 103 yards. Is this Buddy time? Can FAU launch a long, time consuming drive?

FAU picks up a couple first downs before punting. Marshall takes over at own 20, trailing 21-19 in the 4Q.

Marshall once again driving. Convert 4th down play. Then hit pass that put the Thundering Herd at the 5. FAU 21, Marshall 19 2:32 left.

Can Trey Hendrickson come up with another big play? Rip the ball away? Sack? Isn’t it time for Ocie Rose? FAU needs something.

Well, FAU is no longer leading. One play, one 5 yard TD run.

Touchdown overturned. Marshall has second and goal at the 1. But, hey, FAU back in the lead, 21-19.

Next play, Marshall takes it the final yard. Marshall now leads FAU 25-21. Unsportsmanlike against Marshall enforced on kickoff.

Marshall connects on two-point conversion. Thundering Herd lead FAU 27-21, 1:53 left.

Marshall KO goes out of bounds. Ball placed at 50. Driskel and FAU have 2 time outs. 1:53 remaining.

Acrobatic leaping catch by Kalib Woods between two defenders has FAU inside the 25. Then Kam Solomon with a holding penalty.

Woods catch has FAU in a 4th and 3 situation at the 10. Owls now out of time outs. 1:15 remaining. FAU needs a TD.

Woods can’t scoop low Driskel throw. FAU turns the ball over on downs. Should have been caught. FAU needs a miracle.

FAU loses another one late. Marshall defeats FAU 27-21. Owls fall to 1-6. FAU shut out in the second half.
