Hendrickson’s Revenge

BOCA RATON – Yesterday we gave you the debut episode of Trench Talk, where former FAU defensive tackle Brandin Bryant, currently a member of the New York Jets, interviewed FAU defensive end Trey Hendrickson, an NFL prospect, following Florida Atlantic’s Pro Day.

What we didn’t show was that after the interview, Hendrickson turned the tables on Bryant.

Hendrickson interviewed Bryant about life in the NFL – something the former will know about soon – and his time at FAU.

Bryant, a communications major, would like to explore a career in sports media once his playing days are complete. Hendrickson may have a future in the business, too.

Who knows, maybe the New York Jets will select Trey Hendrickson next month and the duo can take Trench Talk to the Big Apple.

Hendrickson, the FAU career sack leader, stands to be selected on the second day of the 2017 NFL Draft next month.

Bryant, who went undrafted last year before signing as a free agent first with the Seattle Seahawks and then with the Jets, has been through the process before – at least parts of it.

The first FAU defensive lineman ever to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, Hendrickson let his times from those events stand on Thursday, but did 18 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. Hendrickson also took part in all the defensive line drills.

The pilot episode of Trench Talk with Brandin Bryant has been well received thus far. Hopefully this one is similarly enjoyable. If you missed it, take a look:

Drop the mic, Trey.
