BOCA RATON – Well rested, FAU aims to take control of Conference USA’s East Division on Saturday when Middle Tennessee comes to South Florida.

What would a win over MTSU mean for FAU? That’s one of the topics covered in this week’s Owl Talk with Brian Rowitz, the first and still finest FAU football podcast.

Rowitz, of ESPN West Palm, and our Chuck King explain why Saturday’s contest may be the most important game remaining on FAU’s schedule.

The duo also examines some potential changes that fans could see with the Owls coming off a bye week that could help FAU extend its current winning streak to four games.

There’s also a look at the history of the FAU-MTSU series, one in which the low points are canyons but the highs are mountainous. Last year’s FAU loss qualifies as the former, with Lane Kiffin saying it marked the start of the Owls’ demise. But the last two times FAU defeated MTSU the Owls finished the season as conference champions.

OwlTalk also tackles Friday’s FAU hall of fame inductions. Are there too many inductees this year? Which, if any, of the inductees should have been left off the list? Who are we most looking forward to seeing? Can Joan Joyce achieve triple digits in hall of fame inductions?

So give OwlTalk a listen. If you love FAU football, it will make you a better fan.
