QB Melvin German expected later in the summer

Many of FAU's players are arriving on campus today for the start of the Summer B session and expect to go through voluntary workouts on Tuesday.
However the much-anticipated arrival of junior college quarterback Melvin German may have to wait.
FAU offensive coordinator Brian Wright said last week he did not expect German to be on campus by the time the Owls go through Tuesday's workout.
“He still has some academic work to complete,” Wright said last week.
Wright is hoping German will be able to clear up the academic issues in time to participate in a limited number of the training sessions and 7-on-7 workouts before FAU's preseason training camp officially opens on Aug. 1.
"That's a possibility...that he'll have a chance to get in for some of it,” Wright said.
Once he is able to participate, Wright is confident German, the Owls' top recruit out of Pearl River (Miss.) Community College, will be able to quickly catch-up.
“This is a similar system to what he ran at Pearl River and much of the stuff he has already been running,” Wright said,
