Jump on the bus to the FAU vs. Georgia game
By Chuck King
We know many family members of FAU football players check out this site so we wanted to make sure y'all know about a deal one of your fellow parents has put together for you.
Jason Smith, father of FAU defensive back DJ Frye-Smith, wants to help as many family members as possible attend the Owls' Sept. 15 game at Georgia. With that in mind he's reserved a bus to Athens and parents can purchase a ticket on the bus for $110 per person.
"A lot of the kids can't get their parents to come to an event like that because of the cost," Smith said. "Doing it like this, you can save money on gas and the hotel."
The bus will depart from the Oxley Center at 4 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, intent on arriving at the team hotel in Atlanta at about 3 p.m. Families can also receive a special rate of $79 plus tax at the Hilton for that night.
On Saturday morning the bus will take fans to the stadium. As soon as the game ends ticket holders can jump back on the bus for the ride back to Boca Raton.
Families who wish to reserve a spot (or spots) can do so by contacting Smith at jasonasmithsr@aol.com. Hurry, though, to ensure the price of the trip doesn't go up, tickets need to be purchased by Aug 1. I'm told the bus is already half full.
And who knows, maybe you'll be sharing a ride with an OwlAccess.com staffer...
