Kickoff time for FAU’s game at WKU set for 4 p.m.

I just noticed that the kickoff time for FAU’s game at Western Kentucky on Nov. 10 has been set for 4 p.m.

Advantage Hilltoppers for that one. Maybe.

The late afternoon start means the game will end at night and once the sun goes behind the stadium there I remember temperatures dropping in a hurry.

Early November isn’t exactly the dead of winter, and temperatures at that time of year up there can be quite seasonable. But when FAU faced WKU on Nov. 6, 2010 it was very cold by the end of the game. That game only started 30 minutes later than this year’s contest and the kickoff temperature was officially 47. It sure felt like it was below freezing when the game was in the fourth quarter.

It could have started at 7 p.m. local time, but the best for FAU would have been a nice 1 or 2 p.m. local time start.

Kickoff times for the Nov. 3 game at Navy (3:30 p.m.) and the game vs. FIU on Nov. 16 (8 p.m.) were mentioned here a few weeks ago.
