Wednesday’s Daily Briefing: More FAU games likely coming to TV

It was certainly good news for Florida Atlantic fans to hear that the Owls’ game at Michigan State on Sept. 10 will be televised nationally on either ESPN or ESPN2.

I don’t think it will be the last time FAU fans will be able to see the Owls on TV this season.

The Sun Belt will announce the total TV schedule in late July and the Owls will likely be on it since the Sun Belt likes to show each of its teams at least once on their regional package.

Also, expect the Florida-FAU on Sept. 3 game to be shown on TV. Perhaps on Pay-per-View, since it appears the SEC Network will show Kent State at Alabama and ESPN will show Utah State at Auburn and BYU at Ole Miss that day.

The same goes for the FAU-Auburn game on Sept.  24. Right now only one game involving an SEC team (LSU-West Virginia) is set for TV that weekend, but that will change. There are some pretty good games that day (Arkansas-Alabama, Georgia-Ole Miss and Florida-Kentucky) will get picked up before the Tigers-Owls. Still there is a chance for Pay-Per-View that weekend.

We’ll keep you informed on any announcements concerning TV coverage for FAU football this season, but don't worry Owl fans,  it’s a safe bet there are more TV games coming this season.
