Saturday’s Daily Briefing: FAU football camp brings in more than 500 players

Florida Atlantic’s annual Football in Paradise Team Camp began Friday with 14 teams and more than 500 players in attendance.

The camp continues today and concludes on Sunday.

Here’s a few notes and observations from Friday’s camp…

  • It’s another strong year for the camp, with Delray-Beach-American Heritage, Belen Jesuit, Fort Myers-Bishop Verot, Port St. Luce-Centennial, Clewiston, Cooper City, Ferguson, Naples-Gulf Coast, Hallandale, Jupiter, Lake Worth, Moore Haven, South Fort Myers, Spanish River and Wellington in attendance. Last year there were 15 teams, but this year’s participation is pretty good considering it’s going head-to-head with the Heath Evans 7-on-7 event in West Palm Beach.
