Sunday's Daily Briefing: FAU record of eight consecutive victories is within reach

Florida Atlantic defeated Western Kentucky on Saturday and this year's team now has the longest streak since moving to Division I.

Well, what exactly is the program record for consecutive victories?
I went through the record book and found these streaks.
In the 1989-90 season, the second year of the program, the Owls won eight consecutive games, finishing with a 21-7 record while a member of Division II .
The next season the Owls won seven consecutive games.
FAU will need to beat UALR, and then Middle Tennessee and WKU again to set a new school record. The good news is those games are at home – and it could be pretty exciting for the team to set a program record at home.
