Monday's Daily Briefing: FIU students get in free to FAU's home game
By Marcus Nelson
It looks like FAU fans may not have the stadium to themselves on Saturday as has been the case in past Shula Bowls.

There may be a few Florida International fans in the house at Lockhart Stadium.
That’s right. It’s an FAU home game so of course FAU students don’t have to pay, but apparently FIU students can go gratis as well.
I’ve never heard of anything like this for a rivalry game, and I don’t remember FAU students going for free to Shula Bowl games when it was FIU’s home game - although it always seems that FAU had a strong contingent.
I guess it will be good to see some FIU fans. To be honest, judging by the pitiful numbers of fans in blue and gold at previous Shula Bowls, I didn’t know they had any. But a surprising 2-0 start in the Sun Belt with victories over North Texas and Western Kentucky must seem like a dynasty to the football fans on Calle Ocho.
Yes, FIU students have finally realized they have a football program so if FAU fans don’t want their stadium overrun by Golden Panthers supporters, they better get to the game on Saturday.
