Saturday’s Daily Briefing: Sun Belt Media Days coming up
It’s hard to believe we are just a little more than a week away from Sun Belt Conference Media Days, the last in the series of off-season events that mean the football season is getting closer.
Unfortunately, Sun Belt Media Days aren’t nearly as big as deal as they used to be. Instead of writers heading to New Orleans to interview coaches and players in person over two days, the Sun Belt has again decided to simply just have a video conference.
Forget about a coach dropping a nugget of information in your lap if it’s just you and him talking, for the second year in a row coaches will just spout their coach speak about the balanced league, how they are ready to get going and that they expect to compete this year.
Hopefully this year something interesting will develop, but it shows how badly I want the season to begin that I am actually excited about hearing Sun Belt coaches go over their two-deep depth chart.
Here’s the schedule of schools for next week’s Sun Belt Media Days...
Monday, July 19
Tuesday, July 20
