Owls-Mean Green slated for TV
A few weeks ago I reported that at least three FAU football road games will be televised this season.

Two of the games were for certain - at Troy and at FIU. The third game was thought to possibly be at Louisiana-Lafayette. However, it now appears the third game will be FAU's game at North Texas on Oct. 17 instead. The game is set to kickoff at 7 p.m.

FAU officials continue to work to have other road games - including games at Nebraska and South Carolina - shown as well.

Feil may advance: Friederike Feil finished in sixth place with a time of 10:25.06 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA East Regional meet on Saturday. While the top five at each regional qualified for the NCAA meet, Feil must receive one of six at-large berths for the meet.

One thing that Feil may have in her favor is that her time was the third-fastest non-qualifying run in the finals of a regional meet this weekend. However, the at-large bids are given on a the runner's entire season. The official selections for the NCAA meet, held at Fayetteville, Ark. on June 10-13, will be made at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Last week FAU added Niko Peros, a 2-year-old suffering from Fanconi anemia, to its football team. Here's a story about it from Care To Click .

Don't look for QB Quez Johnson to be named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week. He wasn't nominated. FAU chose Lucky Whitehead instead.
