Q&A: Jody Brown
While Florida Atlantic fans may be familiar with the coaches of the Owls football, baseball and men’s and women’s basketball teams, FAU has plenty of dedicated and accomplished coaches of the other sports that sometimes don’t get as much attention.

Jody’s Brown’s FAU career began in 1995, making him one of the Owls’ longest tenured coaches. In his 14 years in Boca Raton, Brown guided FAU to three conference regular season titles, three conference tournament titles and three NCAA appearances. He was named the Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year twice.

FAUOwlAccess.com: What is the most interesting thing in your office?
Brown: Picture of the different travels with the different teams; for example Prague, Niagara and the three NCAA tournaments to name a few.
FAUOwlAccess.com: How did you get started in coaching?
Brown: I was a player/coach and just fell in love with the challenges and difficult nature of teaching something you love.
FAUOwlAccess.com: What is your favorite part about coaching at Florida Atlantic?
Brown: Training on the beach and the local area.
FAUOwlAccess.com: What has been the best moment at FAU?
Brown: There have been a lot of great moments, but I always think the best is yet to come.
