BOCA RATON - Freshman Carrie Ann Potter threw the first no-hitter in almost three years for the Florida Atlantic softball team in its 8-0 five-inning victory over Arkansas on Saturday.
Potter (3-0) had six strikeouts and walked two.
The last FAU no-hitter was thrown in five innings. Kathryn Stauffer threw a no-hitter in a 8-0, five-inning win over Mercer on April 22, 2006. It was the 20th no-hitter in program history.
