Florida Atlantic has landed a local big man for its 2012-13 recruiting class.
Jupiter center Grant Pelchen has committed to FAU, a source told Owl Access.
Pelchen committed to FAU after taking an official visit to the campus this weekend.
The 6-10, 240-pound Pelchen averaged 8.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game for the Warriors as a junior last season.
Pelchen is FAU's second commitment for this year's recruiting class. Shooting guard Chris Jenkins from Gill St. Bernard's in New Jersey verbally committed to the Owls in September.
