Tight end Rob Housler is back after redshirting last season and is ready to contribute this fall as a senior.

BOCA RATON –Florida Atlantic tight end Rob Housler wasn’t around last fall to catch passes from quarterback Jeff Van Camp.

Housler used 2009 as a redshirt season due to a logjam at tight end for the Owls, but now returns this season to perhaps become one of Van Camp’s main targets.
This summer, Housler and Van Camp made up for last season’s lost time, putting in extra time to get used to each other again.
“We were here all summer,” Housler said. “We would throw on weekends, when the sun was going down or whenever. We made that sacrifice to come out here so we could have that cohesion.”
The connection returned in a hurry for the two players who came in together in 2006.
