BOCA RATON – Even though Florida Atlantic is off to a fast start in the Sun Belt Conference play, Owls coach Mike Jarvis doesn’t mind stepping out of conference Tuesday to face Manhattan.
“I think it's great.,”Jarvis said. “I just think when you are winning you want to play.”
The game against the Jaspers was supposed to be played Dec. 30, but travel problems due to a blizzard in the Northeast kept Manhattan from making it to Boca Raton and the game was rescheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
If the game had been played at the original date, the Owls would have been coming off a loss to DePaul. Instead FAU is now on a three-game winning streak.
