The NCAA is looking into allegations that a Miami booster gave money and gifts to football players while they were playing for the Hurricanes.

Not sure why people think UM fans would defect for FAU when we're still on a downward spiral and FIU, which is right there in Coral Gables, is on the upswing.
i think the idea is that Miami fans who live in Broward or Palm Beach and are jonesing to watch football on Saturday might check out an FAU game because it's a short drive. Also, the whole upswing/downswing deal could change by the end of the season.
