I see WR Dominic Jones has been added to the verbal list.  Anyone know anything about him?  I can't find his hieght, weight, or anything.  Certainly seems like FAU is making WR a priority this season.  I've also noticed that like our OL and DL recruits, the WR recruits are getting bigger.  Davis is 6'2, Jennert is 6'6(although he's likely to be moved to TE), Richardson is 6'2.

Don't know if anyone saw this recruting story in the Herald.

It's not bad, though they do call the recruits "signees" and they insist Mike Flash is still on board. He's not. Read about it here.

They also say Corey Henry is a commit.  Does anyone know if that is the case?

Spoke with Henry's coach and his uncle. Both said Henry told them he committed to FAU. Henry appears to be a nice catch for FAU, provided nothing changes between now and Feb. 4. Henry also took an official visit to Syracuse.

Could you organize the Commit list by position and then within the position alphabetically by last name?

So I guess that Blake guy from Glades Central was just a rumor.

From what we can tell, FAU was never a serious choice for Blake.

That's why we check these things out.

Who cares what the rankings say...let's check back in 2 years when the majority of these guys get on the field.  That is the true test of a recruiting class...not who has more stars assigned to them by a for-profit website.

The bottom line is both FAU and FIU continue to increase their presence on the college football scene here in South Florida.  What this year has shown is that both programs are on the rise, attracting a better caliber of players.  Time will tell which class was better, but both teams seem to have done a good job.
