It's FAU's only preseason scrimmage.

Follow the event here with this link

Well at 5 the storms have passed, still more rain on radar, so will they attempt to continue as at least a practice after the autograph session?

The word I get is that they really want to get some practice in.

As you may have read on Owl Access, Friday night's practice was held under the stands i.e. not the best place to practice. They really want to get some work in today,

We may be here for a while!

Well radar says about over (no red, orange or yellow at all now) but field pretty wet and slick I imagine. I can see finishing now and I can see starting over tomorrow at 6. Just risking rain again but local fans could come back at that time. I would!

Just too much rain...

Scrimmage canceled for today. Back Sunday at 6 p.m.

Is the 6PM on Sunday Scrimmage open to the Public??

Unfortunately it will be closed to the public.

I guess FAU expects fans to buy season tickets based upon the 18 plays they saw Saturday.

I gotta say that sounds REAL stupid! What is letting people come back Sunday to see the finish (heck, practiaclly the start) of the FanFest Scrimmage gonna hurt? Go back to closed practices on Monday!

OK--here's 25cents, so someone can hop on the Clue bus....  If afternoon practices were moved up or were cancelled due to rain in the afternoon, how difficult is it to make the leap and figure out that an afternoon Fanfest Scrimmage might get rained out too?  Perhaps the Scheduler-in-Chief might make a note of this and plan next year's scrimmage for noon or 1PM.

Remember the new uniforms that FAU was so secretive about?

Just saw this story by Dieter Kurtenbach of the Sun-Sentinel that says apparently they were for sale in the team's Fan Shop today.

Click here for his story on the new uniforms, which includes a picture of the new jersey.

I think the uniforms look good, but to be honest I could barley make them out with the tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at how FAU swore everyone to secrecy and then put them in the FanShop!

FAU should have done like they have done in the past and just not have opened the FanShop!!!

CLASSIC!

Okay,  I am going to be a mom....Adrian Burton had the first tackle of the game!!! I am super excited for him and it was so nice, to see so many fans excited about the team......This cemented our opinion, that Adrian should ne nowhere but at FAU.......even though the weather was nasty, the people were great!  We were stuck at the outside bar during the downpour, but the fans were still having a good time....so much energy around this team!!!! Salute the Hoot!!!

Nice to hear from owlmom. Your son is going to be the man. Can't wait to see him with his partner from the glades in the back field dominating.

Did anyone catch the Bus trip to the GA game, looks like the students were handing out fliers and was told anyone could sign up cost is $79.00. The info was handed out at the poster tables.

With the weather experience this past weekend, FAU might want to think of moving those 5 pm start either to later at 7 pm or earlier to 1 or 2 pm (REALLY have the S. Fl. heat advantage then) to avoid those late afternoon dumps and light shows.
