Can the recruiting board be set up by position?
Here's the deal with the recruiting board...
We toyed with the idea of doing it by position, but decided against it because there are many players who play mutiple positions (such as OL-DL or WR-DB). It just seemed like it would be a way to miss a guy because we had him at the wrong position.
We could maybe employ some sort of searchable databse in the future, but that's why we went with alphabetical this time.
Until then, you can always search a position by hitting "Ctrl-F" and do a manual search.
I have a question about the offers. I know coaches look for certain things when they evaluate a player, but I'm wondering why Spells from AHS in Delray is not offered. We offered the #2 RB there but not the #1 RB. Both are very good but Spells is concidered the better of the two. Arkansas State offered him but not us? The first game of the year (the same night of our first game) will have Spells vs. AH's Bryant. That will be a good guage of his talent. His size and speed seem to be ideal for our system, but I don't understand the lack of interest.
As you know coaches can't comment on high school prospects, but the No.1 thing the staff looks for is would he be good "fit" for FAU. Could there be a reason the Owls would not be interested?
Also, it could be that an offer is coming but hasn't been issued just yet.
There are just guesses on my part, however.
Here is USA Today's exhaustive FAU season preview.
Miami announced that the kickoff of the season opener against FAU will be at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
Right now, BoydsWorld has FAU at 32 and Troy at 31. A win today will flip that.
I heard back from Boyd. He gets his information from...
Remember a week ago when we were all wondering whether FAU could make the NCAA Tournament as an at-large? Well, if the Owls beat Troy today and...
Boyd's whiffed on FAU, missing its win over WKU yesterday. RPI should be about .557 rather than .555. It still has us at 32.
