FAU's SGA held a "Game Day Open Forum" to come up with ways of improving the football game day experience for thr students.

Here are some ideas the students came up with.

Need a much, much larger band.

I love the setting for The Rat's Mouth, but is too isolated and too far from the stadium.

Why not that grassy area on the west side of the stadium? That is a huge area that is unused on game days!

Band needs a goal of 200, not 100, to be both seen and heard in our larger home stadium. AND let's cut down on the blaring stadium music and let the Band be heard - THAT is college game day atmosphere to me

I agree FAU needs to add members to the Marching Band. With all the budget cuts  is there money to expand the Band. Another ideal for the Band "Do Away" with the the uniforms and bring back the FAU/Hawaiian Shirts, Straw Hats and Khaki Pants for each of the Band members. Lets face it Fooball in Paradise is in our fight song maybe our Band should have the Look !.

I'm guessing that the hawaiin shirts and khakis is way cheaper than the full bad uniform they have now.

Save money on uniforms and put that into scholarships and partial scholarships for the band!

A larger marching band would be ideal if you look at High Schools memebers pay upwards of $1200-$1500 to be apart of an organization. Many Bands in the Palm Beach area have 200 members.Uniforms shouldn't matter, yes we should change the look i mean the uniforms are burtally hot for a 3pm game in south florida.

 Aim is too low.  Has to be 300-400 member band.  I know there's a cost, but you need to aim higher.  Uniform idea is interesting and would be different.

Let them wear the "tropical" looks shirts and khakis and become the Stanford band east coast version! Let them entertain, have fun and heckle the "heck" out of opposing teams near that southern end zone!
