Pretty interesting piece by the Sun-Seninel here on whether Boca will be a college town.

Interesting? To me it just put FAU and Boca down. But the times they are a changin' and FAU and Boca will grow together!

Really? The measure of a college town is whether or not you have a strain of pot named after you and how many vegetarian restaurants there are? Seems like the kind of juvenile story the UP would write. I'll take South Florida over Gainesville and Tallahassee any day.

I sure hope this is not the level of writing or the level of support that the Sentinel is going to post towrds FAU A.T. (After Ted)! The more I read it the more TOTALLY rediculous it was!

It was pretty bad, but more work went into it than just putting up a picture of the dance team...Just sayin'

The writer, Anne Geggis, obviously is new to the area. He bio says she's been at the SS since May and (shockingly) worked for the Gainesville Sun before that.

Just seems like another SS fluff piece. Not sure why their editors would even run something like that?

The business writer for Sun Sentinel tweeted the article and said "College town -- not even close." The SS is officially on my s--t list.

Attitudes are definitely changing in Boca Raton, which is becoming more of a college town IMHO.

You can get a real sense of it on the Friday nights before home football games when more FAU clothing is seen at bars (or so I have heard)

The only reason g-ville feels like a college town is because without UF there would be no town! I hope this is the only article she writes about FAU.

 I already don't like this girl.This may be one of the easiest subjects to write about. How is Boca ansd G-ville different? DUH! Why is G-ville more of a college town? DUH! I can picture this girl, on Sat afternoon, spilling beer on herself while doing the Gator chomp.Just like most at the swamp. Not my cup of tea. I would rather see no article in the post than read a siilly article in the SS

So her  requisites of a college town are you have to have weed smokin, drunkin vegetarians to qualify. Oh, and LOTS of late night eateries to satisfy those "snack" urges brought on by the weed!

Think maybe the Sentinal needs to consider a "random" drug test for her? (just kidding!). Go back to UF and Gainesville, PLEASE don't write on FAU the Owls OR Boca (not kidding!).
