FAU's annual bonfire set for Aug. 23.

Roasted Seahawk anyone?

Tastes like chicken I presume?

I'm thinking instead of burning a Seahawk, they should build a model of actor Robert Wagner (Hart to Hart, Austin Powers) and burn that. Would probably get some publicity for the school.

Remember when we told you about the rumor that The Misfits were coming for FAU's bonfire?

Well, guess what?

it's official...

Don't forget about tonight's bonfire.

One of the top events year in and year out at FAU!

BTW, unlike most events these days, this one is open to the public!

No Seahawk to be burned? Pretty lame.

Is Pelini that scared of F'n Wagner?

Great time at the 5th Annual Bonfire

...Pelini adressed students

...Football team had a dance routine with the dance team

...Pat Chun was in the house

...No Seahawk was burned, in fact a sign with somethimg like "Beat Wagner" didn't get burned as planned.

All in all, The Misfits put on quite a show and this was perhaps the biggest party in FAU history.

On an FAU hoops note, ran into Greg Gantt with two of his new buddies.

That's forward Chris Bryant on the left and forward Devonte Thornton on the right.

They were having a great time at the bonfire!

Check out video of Pelini talking to crowd plus something that resembles dancing by the football team (just kidding)

You can all thank housing for no effigy this year, My fraternity builds the bonfire every year and I personally helped build the wall we painted and planned to burn. Due to the hurrican coming in a few days they took it upon themselves to tear apart the effigy and throw it in the dumpster without notifying us. We tried to bring the pieces over still and lay them against the fire but the Resident coordinator rudely made us move everything from where our police escort was expecting us. The police never found us therefore it was not able to be brought to the fire.
