Was doing some research on Alfred Morris to get ready for tonight's draft and came across this video of his first significant action as an Owl ... a spring scrimmage from 2009.
Man, that seems like a long time ago.
Check it out here
Congratulations to FAU running back Alfred Morris, who was drafted with the third pick in 6th round by the Redskins!
Alfred to Redskins in 6th round - congrats Alfred!
Congratulations to Alfred! Alfred and RGlll--what great choices for the Redskins! Many years of NFL success, Alfred!
Don't forget Kurt Cousins. Maybe the most intelligent and hardest working QB on the board. The Redskins have a plan by taking two QB's. Congrats to Alfred and keep working hard.
I completey forgot this until I read it in Chuck's blog.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan coached RB Alfred Morris at this year's Senior Bowl.
Way to prove the doubters wrong!
FAU defensive end Kevin Cyrille tells us he has agreed to terms with the Vikings and will sign with them as an undrafted free agent.
Our Chuck King talked to Cyrille and posted this blog.
And here's our Draft Profile, complete with some video of Cyrille
Congrats to both Kevin & Alfred You worked hard for this day enjoy !
Now if the rumors are true that North Texas and FIU are going to Conference -USA are true,l there is a Football goddness after all and she is simling down on FAU.
One wonders how much FIU will pay us for future games ? We will see see how cheap they really are, Can The Shula Bowl mean something after all ?, as for North Texas I will not miss them --- Good bye to the Mean Green Machine.
According to the Washington Post, the Redskins signed two free agent running backs: La. Tech's Lennon Creer and Michigan's Michael Shaw.
Few remember that Alfred Morris was recruited by most colleges as a linebacker, but FAU coaches thought he would best on the offensive side of the ball, where he first played fullback and then running back for the Owls.
Our Chuck King caught up with two of his college coaches, Howard Schnellenberger and RB coach David Serna, to talk about Morris' development to a player who was taken in the NFL Draft.
Yes, that is the young man. Thanks for the information. I hope he gets a shot somewhere else.
I believe you must be talking about Robert Lohnes. I had not heard why he left.
Sorry to hear that. He was exciting to watch and he seemed to have a lot of heart too. What was his name? I hope another school picks him up.
They wouldn't give him a scholarship so he quit
Owl Access, what ever happened to our punt returner that was from the Tampa area? He was about 5'6" and really fast. I can't remember his name.
